Obituary of Letha Lavonne Worley

Letha Lavonne Linder was born to Tom and Hazel (Westfall) Linder in Midvale Idaho on July 24, 1924. She was the oldest of three children. She had a sister, Retha and a brother Ellis. They lived in Midvale until her junior year in high school at which time they moved to Weiser, where she graduated from high school. They then moved to Payette in 1942, where she went to work at the phone office. She met Orville Worley and was married July 23, 1943 in Marietta Oklahoma where Orville was stationed in the army. After Orville returned from the war they lived in Payette where their children Don, Juanita, and Tom were born. They moved to Hines Oregon where Rowena was born. They eventually moved back to Payette where they farmed, milked cows and had a huge vegetable garden. Letha worked at Ore-Ida Foods until retiring after 20 years. She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, her sister, her brother, a granddaughter, a great-great granddaughter, her extended family of brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law. She is survived by her children Don and Paula Worley of Baker City Oregon; Juanita and Doug Thomas of Payette Idaho; Tom and Sharon Worley of Payette Idaho; Rowena and Mel Coleman of Fruitland Idaho; she had 13 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren, five and one-half great-great grandchildren; also, many, many nieces and nephews that she loved dearly.
