Obituary of Robert Frederick Johanek

Robert was born June 3, 1944 in Ontario, Oregon to Paul and Pearl (Ferrel) Johanek. Robert attended school in Fruitland from first grade until his graduation in 1962. After graduation he enlisted in the U.S. Army where he was with the 101st Airborne Division and received recognition as a sharpshooter. While stationed in Kentucky he met his wife Linda, and they were married in 1965. After his discharge, they moved to Michigan and began to raise a family. David was born in 1965, Cathy was born in 1966, Danny was born in 1967 and Barbara was born in 1968. They eventually moved back to Idaho where Robert joined the family farm before eventually settling in New Plymouth. Robert loved farming and took great pride in it. He is survived by his children, David Johanek (Jacque Vanderpool), Danny Johanek, Cathy Johanek, Barbara Webb (Trevor Webb); his brothers Chuck Johanek and Richard Johanek; and his sisters, Kathy Tate and Peggy Ziegler.
