Obituary of Clifford "Ron" Moore

Clifford "Ron" Moore was a caring and compassionate husband, father, brother, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He left this world early Friday November 12th, 2021 in Emmett, ID at the age of 86, after a courageous battle with Dementia. The conversations were all over the place and kept going further and further back. However, you could hear the passion in his voice for each of the stories he told of the good old past times. Even as he faced this challenge, he had a smile on his face and stayed strong to the end. He was surrounded by loved ones who will continue to honor his legacy by living their lives to the fullest. Ron was born December 12th, 1934 to Nettie (Hale) and Clifford Moore in Emmett, ID. His wife Patsy Moore preceded him in death, as well as his parents, and brother Orven (Orliene) Poston. Upon graduating he joined the United States Army and proudly served a tour in Korea. He then chased his dream and bought a boat, working as fisherman in Alaska. When in Washington he met the love of his life Patsy Sayles (Zurlo) and wasted no time marrying her shortly thereafter. He always said, "he didn't want her to get away again". He helped raise his two stepchildren (Tina Shaw & Loyal Sayles) and had two more sons (Rudy & Scott Moore). The simplest pleasures in life brought great joy to Ron. He loved Ranching and the quiet evenings with his wife and kids. Ron often explored the wilderness camping and of course fishing every chance he could get. He proudly watched both his boys serve in the Army as well. He had an uncanny ability to farm and anything he put in the dirt would grow. His flowers were amazing and so big and bright. Everyone commented as they walked by seeing their beauty in the spring and fall. But his never hidden talent was in his woodworking. He could make anything you asked of him and enjoyed the process. Especially when came to making rocking horses, rocking chairs, semi-trucks, bird houses, cedar chests and even the cows for all his grandchildren. His recent hobbies included flirting with all his hospice nurses and reading western romance novels. Ron didn't hide his passionate love affair with ice cream and chocolate milk shakes. He is survived by his children Tina (Tim) Shaw, Loyal (Paula) Sayles, Rudy Moore, Scott (Kelly) Moore. His proud grandchildren and great grandchildren. His siblings Marv (Joyce) Moore, Jim (Barbara) Moore, & Lola Holt. Donna Moore and her children Robyn (Kevin) Kopszynski, Paula (Dustin) LaRose, and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family.
