Obituary of Caroline Kay Parsons

Caroll Parsons, 81, of Fruitland, Idaho, joined her heavenly family on April 29, 2023.

She was born January 19, 1942 to Jack and Alice Chapman. She spent much of her childhood on Lost Lake, as her folks owned and operated a store at the end of the boat dock. Upon graduating from school in Council in 1959, Caroll moved to Riggins, where she lived and worked until 1975. She then moved to Fruitland to attend Treasure Valley College. She met and married the love of her life, Manley Parsons in 1979. He later passed away. She worked at TVCC for 20 years as the switchboard operator. Caroll shared that this was the perfect job! Where else could you get paid to talk! Caroll retired in 2000. Caroll’s positive attitude helped her through many of life’s challenges. Many will remember Caroll for her unique infectious laugh, and her beautiful smile. She was always a good listener, interested in people, and never met a stranger! Caroll had many interests such as oil painting, sketching, fishing, and camping. With her outstanding sense of humor, one of her favorite hobbies included sending and receiving jokes via email. She was most proud of being a volunteer literacy tutor and a member of the Syringa Lions Club of Payette.

Caroll is survived by her niece, Kendi (Mark) Camacho, of Weiser; Kendi’s children, Ryan and Nicole; 2 step children, 4 adopted grandchildren, and 5 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by: her mother, father, husband, brother, niece, and baby sister, Donna. Special thanks go out to the staff at Cascadia of Payette & Heart and Home Hospice.
