Obituary of Raymond Edward Bridgewater

Born July 24, 1927 – July 5, 2023 Age 95. He died at home in Fruitland, Idaho of natural causes.

Born July 24, 1927, to Christopher and Esther Bridgewater in Wilsall, Montana.  He married Lola Kindig on February 14, 1948, in Bozeman Montana and moved to Middleton, Idaho in 1968 and later moved to Fruitland, Idaho.  They were blessed with three sons: Roy, Randy and Ricky.  He was a hard worker and enjoyed many things in this life, especially riding horses and spending time with his family.  He was quite a talented mechanic and wood worker.  He repaired anything he could and made many beautiful pieces of furniture for family and friends.

He is survived by his loving companion Freya Benjamin and her sons Paul (Cathy), David (Tina), sister Jean and brother Frank (Verna) and three sons: Roy (Jody), Randy (Char) and Ricky (Brittany), seven grandchildren; Becky, Kevin, Amy, Cory, Toby, Madilynn and Khaleesi.  Nine great-grandchildren and three great great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parent, his wife Lola and seven siblings.

Final interment with military honors to be held at The Veteran’s Cemetery located at 10100 N. Horseshoe Bend Road in Boise on July 31, 2023, at 10:00 am.

A memorial service will be held on the same day at 2:00 pm at Rick Bridgewater's home celebrating the life of Raymond.  Please join the family for a potluck following the memorial and bring a dish to share.
