Obituary of Steven Richard Cockerum
Steven (Steve) Richard Cockerum passed away peacefully at home,Thursday, December 7th, 2023. Steve was born to Richard Cockerum and Mildred Cockerum on October 2, 1956 in Spokane, WA. He was the middle child to brother, Curtis and sister, Gail.
Steve started out life with a fire inside. His drive to make an impact in his own life and others lead him down many paths in life. He started out his early years in Drywall. During this time he impacted many lives by starting his own business, thus the entrepreneur was born.
Upon selling his drywall business he moved his family to Idaho from Washington to be close to family and have a slower pace of life. Although, a slower pace of life is what he strived for Steve was always involved in multiple projects and adventures. He lived out the remainder of his life in Idaho where he was involved in real-estate, multiple businesses, and his love for horses.
Steve had a great love for his family and the desire to help the underdog.
Everywhere that Steve went he knew someone. He would always have someone to talk to and a story to tell. His life held many adventures and memories but the most important to Steve was his family and friends.
He is survived in death by his three children, Lynn Gagliano, Stephanie Cockerum, and Toni Sagen. Grandsons Caleb Gagliano and Joseph Carl. Granddaughters Angela Carl, Gracelyn Brockman, and Lillian Day. Mother Mildred Cockerum along with brother Curtis Cockerum and sister Gail Cockerum.
Preceding him in death is his father Richard Cockerum.
A celebration of life will be held at the Portia Club on Sunday, December 17th from 12-4pm.
