Obituary of Catherine Susan Johanek

Catherine Susan Johanek, age 57, died peacefully in her sleep on Monday March 18,2024.

Cathy was born on August 23, 1966 to Robert and Linda Johanek in Toledo, Ohio. Shortly after her birth, the family relocated to Fruitland, Idaho. Cathy attended elementary school and Jr. High School in Fruitland. The family then  moved to Glenns Ferry, Idaho,  where Cathy attended high school. Cathy was very athletic and excelled in volleyball, basketball, and track. She went on to play basketball at a local community college.

Family was very important to Cathy. She stayed near her family her entire life.

She is survived by her two children, daughter, Katelynn Read and her son Anthony Torres; her siblings, David Johanek, Danny Johanek, and Barbara Webb.

The family hopes you remember Cathy as the caring and generous person that she was.
